Kara galore

As you might have noticed, I usually never upload any concept sketches to my gallery here. People keep asking me about Kara though; hence, I present you a couple of practise doodles of her, and, to boot, information on her vita.

Kara is supposed to have a thick British accent that alludes to her English family background. She is quite well off, for with her return to St. Canard, where she went to school, her parents left her well provided for. Kara is a specialist in mathematics and astrophysics and one of the leading luminaries in her field. After school, Kara went back to Europe for several years until she got a very tempting proposal from S.H.U.S.H. to work there as a scientist. Thus she goes back to St. Canard and moves in next to Darkwing Duck’s alter ego Drake Mallard.
I'm still toying with the idea of her having some sort of secret identity she calls the Avian Avenger (she's nothing short of Drake's inventiveness when it comes to over enthusiastic name proposals! ) which she invented for her trips to the Negaverse. Kara dons her costume when she pays Negaduck's alternate dimension a visit to keep an eye on his dark deeds by order of J. Gander Hooter himself. At least she doesn't run the risk of meeting her counterpart there, since she once destroyed it accidentally through a failed experiment of hers.
